- Warm Up: Students review art vocabulary from the textbook using the vocabulary app Memrise
- Conversation: Students work in pairs to answer discussion questions about art using the vocabulary
- Research: In pairs students use link provided to take virtual tours of famous art museums from around the Spanish-speaking world. During this virtual tour students are tasked with finding 1 piece of art from a Spanish-speaking artist they particularly interests them
- Post: Each student creates their own Padlet page using the stream layout (students will need to create their own accounts). On this page they post a picture of the artwork they chose from the virtual tour including the following information about that piece:
- Name and place of origin of the artist
- Materials used to create this piece of art
- Cultural, political, religious, or historical background of the piece (3-4 sentences)
- Share: Students will post the link to their Padlet to the course padlet page so that links to all of the Padlets can be found in one place. Students from all sections will link their projects to the same padlet page, allowing for interaction with students of other sections
- Discuss: From the course Padlet page students navigate to the Padlet pages of at least 8 other students. On each page students are asked to look at the piece of art being presented and briefly research that piece of art or artist. They need to add two “fun facts” about the artist or artwork on each page. These “fun facts” cannot be repeated (so students are forced to read the “fun facts” already posted) and should be very brief (1 sentence maximum).
